2026 Winter Youth Camp

Join us for an exciting one-day Youth Baseball Camp at Northwestern University on January 3rd, where young athletes will have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills alongside our Northwestern coaching staff and players.

This camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of the game through hands-on instruction, position-specific training, and competitive gameplay. All in a fun, energetic, and team-oriented environment. Campers will be grouped by age and skill level to ensure appropriate instruction and maximum development.

Functional Catch
Campers will participate in structured catch play that integrates fundamental movements for each position: including double play turns, relay throws, ground ball fielding, and fly ball communication.

Infield Stations
Our staff will break down infield fundamentals and build up advanced skills such as turning double plays, making diving stops, and executing forehand and backhand plays.

Pitching & Catching
Pitchers will throw bullpens with individualized instruction, while catchers will receive focused coaching on receiving, blocking, and game management. Emphasis will be placed on mechanics, pitch grips, and situational awareness.

Hitting Stations
Campers will rotate through a variety of hitting stations: tee work, front toss, machine work, and live BP.  Focusing on swing mechanics, contact quality, and approach at the plate.

Games & Competitions
Campers will take part in fun, instructional games throughout the day, creating a competitive and memorable experience that embodies the Wildcat Way.

Facility Tour
Campers will get an exclusive look inside Northwestern Baseball’s facilities, including the players’ lounge, locker room, indoor training area, nutrition stations, and weight room. This tour provides a unique opportunity to experience what it’s like to be part of Northwestern Baseball.

Daily Schedule

• 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Check-In
• 10:00 AM – 10:10 AM: Daily Overview & Expectations
• 10:10 AM – 10:30 AM: Dynamic Warm-Up, Stretch & Relay Race
• 10:30 AM – 10:50 AM: Functional Catch Play / Knock Out
• 10:50 AM – 11:00 AM: Water/Snack Break
• 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Defensive Fundamentals
• 12:00 PM – 12:10 PM: Water Break
• 12:10 PM – 1:10 PM:  Lunch Break
• 1:10 PM – 2:00 PM: Offensive Fundamentals
• 2:15 PM – 4:15 PM: Competitive Games / Facility Tour
• 4:15 PM – 4:45 PM: Dodgeball Game / Capture the Flag 
• 4:45 PM – 5:00 PM: Camp Closing & Q&A

What to Bring:
Baseball glove, bat, helmet, cleats, turf/running shoes, baseball pants, hat, belt, socks, lunch, snacks, and water.

Lunch Options:
Campers may bring their own lunch or purchase one for $15 (includes pepperoni or cheese pizza, chips, and water).

Supervision:
Certified athletic staff will be on-site at all times.

Facilities:
Both Rocky and Berenice Miller Park and the Mogentale Indoor Training Facility will be used during camp. Directions and parking information are available on our camp website.
